Shooting involving Arlington police at Rosslyn Metro Station

The police department said the shooting involved an Arlington County police officer inside the station near the exit to N. Moore Street. 

Police report a suspect was wounded in an officer-involved shooting late Tuesday afternoon at the Rosslyn Metro station in Northern Virginia. 

The police department also said the shooting involved an Arlington County police officer inside the station near the exit to N. Moore Street. 

Arlington police said the male suspect was being taken to a hospital with serious injuries. 

Police said there was no ongoing threat to the public, but roads near the station have been temporarily blocked off to pedestrians and vehicles. 

A police investigation is still under way.
